    (CNN)The New York Mets have fired general manager Jared Porter after he reportedly sent explicit pictures to a female reporter in 2016. ESPN reported that Porter sent unsolicited, explicit texts and photos "culminating with a picture of an erect, naked penis" to the female reporter when he worked for the Chicago Cubs as the team's Director of Professional Scouting and Special Assistant. ESPN said it obtained the messages and images in December 2017 and interviewed the reporter but chose not to report the allegations at the time after the woman said her career would be harmed if the story was released.

    Hilaria Baldwin is in the middle of a swirling and escalating controversy surrounding her heritage. It started when social media users pointed out that her Latin accent is not consistent. Clips of her husband, Alec Baldwin, saying during TV show appearances that his wife was from Spain began making the rounds on Twitter. Alec has taken to social media to defend his wife, "Twitter is just a vast orchard of crap." She says "unauthorized" biographies claimed she was from Spain. Hilaria is insistent that she has not misrepresented herself and all the confusion is because other people made assumptions about her. CNN reports that the damage to her career and reputation has been significant.

    The novel coronavirus pandemic has triggered a boom in telemedicine, by which patients receive medical care via telephone or computer. However, UPI reports a new study reveals the new paradigm isn't being adopted by everyone equally. UPI reports three groups of people have been far less likely to complete telemedicine appointments during the pandemic than others. Specifically, they're older adults, Asian Americans, and non-English speakers. Study co-author Dr. Srinath Adusumalli says many of these patients lack access to the necessary technology. Or, they are simply uncomfortable using it to complete medical appointments.
