The most anticipated movie of the year (by far) 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' has begun at the World Premiere in Los Angeles and on the red carpet there are highlights, Star Wars characters and interviews with Lupita Nyong'o, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, Oscar Isaac, Harrison Ford, John Boyega, Creator George Lucas, Director J.J. Abrams, Producer Kathleen Kennedy, The Walt Disney Company Chairman and CEO Bob Iger and Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn along with spectacular scenes from the movie. This movie is a must go, must see film.
Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said that Disney+'s ability to cope with the pandemic and release new content is "super impressive." According to Business Insider Hastings is hoping that Netflix can catch up with Disney's family animation content, like "Soul." Netflix said it plans to expand on its 200 million subscribers as it improves it explores new distribution avenues.
Harrison Ford will be returning for the fifth installment of the Indiana Jones franchise. In a tweet, Disney said Friday the movie would be produced by its production arm Lucasfilm and released in July 2022. "Indy himself, Harrison Ford, will be back to continue his iconic character's journey." CNN reports that Disney told an investor presentation the movie was currently in "pre-production."
Something is bubbling in a galaxy far, far away and it could be hinting at the future for a long time. A long time. The first three episodes of The Mandalorian season two have all felt, somehow, bigger in mythology than the first. Season one introduced the Child (our beloved scamp Baby Yoda), and with him, huge questions about his relationship with the Force. But beyond that, the show was pretty specifically linked to Din Djarin and his exploits. However, the sophomore season has opened up the scope significantly, introducing fan-favorite characters with more to come, and the whole thing got us thinking.
