Former House Speaker Dennis Hastert is about to begin serving his 15-month prison sentence for breaking financial rules in order to cover up the sexual abuse of students he once coached. Ashraf Fahim reports.

The new Republican speaker of the US House of Representatives tells lawmakers that his first act leading the chamber would be to introduce a resolution supporting Israel in its conflict with Hamas militants.
