France: Migrants offered financial incentives to return home

Description

France is one of several countries in Europe that offer financial incentives to migrants who agree to go back home. The system is seen as one way of dealing with the migrant crisis, but is it a lasting solution to a real problem? According to French authorities, these incentive programmes are proving much cheaper than forced expulsions. This report takes a closer look at the issue.
