The novel coronavirus pandemic has triggered a boom in telemedicine, by which patients receive medical care via telephone or computer. However, UPI reports a new study reveals the new paradigm isn't being adopted by everyone equally. UPI reports three groups of people have been far less likely to complete telemedicine appointments during the pandemic than others. Specifically, they're older adults, Asian Americans, and non-English speakers. Study co-author Dr. Srinath Adusumalli says many of these patients lack access to the necessary technology. Or, they are simply uncomfortable using it to complete medical appointments.
This incredible, one-of-a-kind auto is the Infiniti Prototype 9 concept car, an electric concept that pays homage to the design of the pre-war era. It went on display at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance car event in California last weekend. Czech carmaker Skoda is betting big on China. They unveiled an electric concept car called the Vision E, through which they hope to take their place in the world's largest auto market. Skoda CEO Bernhard Maier's presence at the unveiling underscores the importance of the market to the company. Skoda's new Vision E electric concept car was unveiled at the 2017 International Automobile & Manufacturing Technology Exhibition, also known as Auto Shanghai Expo on Tuesday. The four-seat crossover is based on VW Group’s MEB platform. Vision E has two electric motors delivering a combined 225kW of power. Designed in the Czech Republic, the Vision E is fuelled by liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery cells, and boasts a potential driving range of 310 miles. China's automotive industry has been the largest in the world since 2008. Chinese automakers produce more cars than the US and Japanese markets combined. In 2014, China produced over a quarter of the world's cars.

That's the same site that I rocketed from with my Apollo 11 colleagues, Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins, to achieve the first human landing on the Moon in July 1969! China is headed for several milestone achievements. For one, they will use their new Long March 5 and Long March 7 boosters to advance their goal of building their own space station. In addition, look for China to fly to the moon the robotic Chang'e 5 spacecraft and attempt the first lunar sample return to Earth in more than 40 years. Lastly, look for surprises from mysterious Mars! Now orbiting the Red Planet is the European Space Agency's ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter that in 2017 will "sniff out" whether methane detected on that world is a product of Martian microbes. Personally, I'll be working as hard as ever to rally public and political willpower to hasten the day when those first footfalls on the Red Planet lead to permanent inhabitation of Mars.
Engineer Gorden Wagener unveiled the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept car at the Mercedes Lounge at Pebble Beach, California on Friday during the world famous Moneterey Car Week festivities, drawing oohs and ahs from the croud. The ultra-long luxury coupe extends to an impressive 18.7 feet long and powered by four electric motors which generate 738 horsepower and giving the vehicles a range of 200 miles.
