A literal army of snowmen, 2,018 to be exact, greeted residents of the Chinese city of Harbin on Thursday at the Qunli Bund theme park to ring in the New Year. Some 424,000 cubic feet of snow were reportedly used in making the sculptures. The exhibition is set to bid for the Guinness World Record for the greatest number of snowmen in a park.

Gourmet enthusiasts in Fontana, California broke the Guinness Record for the world's longest pizza on Saturday, with the Margherita measuring a whopping 6,333 feet, or just a hair short of 1.2 miles long. Organised at the city’s Auto Club Speedway, some 20,000 pounds of dough, 15,000 pounds of mozzarella, and two tonnes of tomato sauce were used in the pizza's creation.
