Americans overwhelmingly say that Trump is responsible on some level for the Capitol siege. 76% said Trump bears a "great deal" or "a lot" of responsibility. Less than one-fifth said the president is blameless for the riot at the Capitol. Trump was impeached over the Capitol siege on Wednesday, says Business Insider. This is the second impeachment for Trump, making him the only President to be impeached twice.
It's no secret that President Donald Trump has been very unhappy indeed with Vice President Mike Pence's refusal to halt the Electoral College Count. According to Business Insider, Pence is said to be disappointed and saddened by Trump's public and private attacks on him. However, sources say Pence isn't ruling out the option of invoking the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office. Still, sources say Pence and his team are reportedly worried that Trump may descend into even more mental instability. They fear that by invoking the amendment or starting an impeachment process, Trump will be triggered into action and put the nation at risk.
A GOP Senator from Oklahoma is revealing Mike Pence's reaction to the Wednesday's Trump Supporter Riots. Jim Inhofe said Pence became uncharacteristically angry on Wednesday during the siege on the Capitol. "I've known Mike Pence forever. I've never seen Pence as angry as he was today." Inhofe said he had a long conversation with Pence. "He said, 'After all the things I've done for Trump.'" Another Republican senator told Business Insider the VP was the most angry he's ever seen him.
