After 125 years of motorsport history, Mercedes-Benz opens a new chapter in the coming season: at the start of the season of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship in Saudi Arabia at the end of November, two all-electric racing cars of the Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E Team will be racing for the first time.In the two cockpits of the new Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow 01, Former Formula One driver Stoffel Vandoorne and currently FIA Formula 2 championship leader Nyck de Vries will take their place in the debut season for the team.In its debut season, the team draws on the know-how and the combined motorsport experience of the Mercedes family. The heart of the Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow 01 is the electric drive that was designed and developed at Mercedes-AMG's High Performance Powertrains (HPP) in the United Kingdom, the Daimler Group's global center of excellence for high-performance hybrid technology. In Brixworth, the hybrid power units will continue to be developed, with which Mercedes has succeeded in each of the past five years, the World Cup double in Formula 1.

Mercedes-Benz presented its Concept EQA small electric hatchback at the 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show on Tuesday. The Concept EQA is a compact all-electric hatchback, containing a flat battery pack under its cabin. Mercedes AMG Presents Concept at Geneva Motor Show

Mercedes AMG officially unveiled its newest 600 bhp plus AMG GT concept car at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland on Tuesday. The new concept car is the brainchild of AMG top executive Tobias Moers and was created to celebrate Mercedes-AMG's 50th anniversary. The AMG concept features a four-door saloon design and a coupe-like roofline. Under the hood, the Mercedes-AMG GT packs a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine with an output of over 600 bhp. The engine is also expected to be paired with AMG's 7-speed transmission. The Mercedes-AMG GT will go head-to-head with a revered list of competition which includes the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, the Porsche Panamera, and the Audi S7. The production version of the car is expected to hit the road in the latter half of 2018.
