Gerry Marsden, lead singer of the 1960s British rock band Gerry and the Pacemakers, has died. According to CNN, Marsden died of a heart infection on Sunday. Marsden was best known for hits like; “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” and “Ferry Cross the Mersey”. His rendition of the Broadway show tune “You’ll Never Walk Alone” became a Number One hit in the U.K. in 1963. Marsden is survived by his wife of 55 years, 2 children, and 2 grandchildren. He was 78 years old.

CNN reports that the living legend shared in the latest issue of Marie Claire magazine that she never wants to be caught short if disaster strikes. Dolly Parton Parton joked she even wears high heels when she's at home, cooking, because she needed to be able to reach her cabinets. The living legend is currently making press rounds promoting her holiday album, 'A Holly Dolly Christmas.'
Johnny Nash, best known for his 1972 hit "I Can See Clearly Now," has died. The singer passed away Tuesday morning according to his son, John Nash. The American reggae and pop music singer-songwriter died from natural causes at his home in Houston. Nash's "I Can See Clearly Now" hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on November 4, 1972, and held the top spot for four weeks. According to CNN, Johnny Nash began his career as a pop singer in the 1950's. Nash was 80 years old at the time of his death.

Legendary singer songwriter Leonard Cohen is now singing his inspirational and iconic song in the afterlife. He died on Thursday at the age of 82 at his home in Los Angeles, as confirmed by his label Sony Music Canada and by his son Adam. Cohen left behind a legacy of 50 years of prolific musical and poetic work, reportedly writing and composing up until his last moments. Montreal’s residents gathered to commemorate the life of the musician Leonard Cohen, congregating outside Cohen’s Montreal home. His supporters and fans lit candles in an impromptu vigil for the singer. Details over his death have not yet been released and his family have asked for privacy in this time.
