Manila, Dec 30 (EFE/EPA).- Philippines on Wednesday marked the 124th death anniversary of José Rizal (1861-1896), the national hero of independence.On National Hero's Day, Filipinos honor Rizal, whose death by firing squad on Dec. 30, 1896 helped inspire a Philippine revolution for independence against Spanish occupation.
