Trucks stranded for weeks at Panama roadblock as anti-mining protests turn deadly

Scores of trucks mark two weeks stranded at a roadblock on a main road near Silimin, western Panama, in the third week of protests over a big mining contract. A gunman killed two demonstrators blocking another road near Panama City, according to the police. IMAGES
