In the wake of Joe Biden's victory in the United States presidential elections, people hang posters against Donald Trump at Black Lives Matter Square, with one of them ironically repeating 'You're fired!', a catchphrase from the Republican candidate's TV show 'The Apprentice'. IMAGES
Business Insider reports the Trump campaign has purged attorney Sidney Powell from its legal team. Last week, Powell baselessly alleged a global conspiracy to steal the 2020 US presidential election from President Donald Trump. The conspiracy, Powell claimed, involved hacking voting machines and former Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez. Chavez, a communist, died in 2013. That dubious claim was then promoted on social media by the Republican Party. On Sunday, the campaign issued a statement asserting that Powell 'is practicing law on her own.' Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity. QAnon is a far-right conspiracy theory that claims President Donald Trump is fighting a global elite cabal of satanic pedophile sex traffickers. Now, Business Insider reports Citigroup has fired a New Jersey employee of the company who ran a website dedicated to QAnon. Jason Gelinas was previously put on paid leave when Logically.ai reported that he operated QMap.pub, a site that got an estimated 10 million visits a month. It's a main aggregator of 'Q drops,' the messages that are the foundation of the baseless conspiracy theory. The cryptic messages are left by an anonymous figure called 'Q' on 8kun, an anonymous message board formerly known as 8chan. It's thought Gelinas may have had ties to 8kun, as the two websites shared an IP address.

When it comes to his Cabinet, President Donald Trump has certainly lived up to his 'Celebrity Apprentice' catchphrase, 'You're fired.' Whether they left because they resigned or were fired, the list of former Trump officials who say they'll be voting for Democratic opponent Joe Biden is growing. According to Business Insider, some have joined anti-Trump political coalitions such as The Lincoln Project, Republican Voters Against Trump, and others. Hoping to sway the votes of independent, undecided, and moderate Republicans, they've spent millions on campaign ads to oust Trump from the White House. Former DHS chief of staff Miles Taylor called working under Trump 'terrifying," saying many things Trump wanted the department to do were illegal. Former White House communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, says he'll be voting for Biden. And former national security adviser John Bolton won't be voting for Trump or Biden. Instead, he'll write in the name of a conservative candidate.
