Inspired by the patterns of ancient Japanese armour scales, it now consists of dozens of high gloss, three dimensional comma-shaped elements painted in high gloss black paint which appear to float in the space between the lip of the bonnet and the numberplate holder. To the sides of the central portion, the "commas" form a triangular shape from the new headlights down to a point to the side of the numberplate and they are finished in a "satin chrome" hot foil stamp, on the top grade version.The flanks of the bumper are body-coloured and a strip of black in a high-gloss finish runs below the numberplate to the lower corners of the bumper. Underneath the cooling aperture, there is a thin body-coloured "chin strap" which gives a sense of definition to the front.
With only one month until the Nissan Ariya undertakes the world's first all-electric driving adventure from the magnetic North Pole to the South Pole, the team in charge reveals why this car is the perfect match.Nissan, in partnership with British adventurer, Chris Ramsey and the daring Pole to Pole expedition team will travel over 27,000 kilometres across several regions and continents with predicted temperatures ranging from -30⁰C to 30⁰C in a modified Nissan Ariya e-4ORCE. Commencing March 2023, the expedition will see Chris and his wife, Julie Ramsey become the first people to drive from pole to pole in a vehicle of any type, as they make their way from the Arctic, through North, Central and South America, before crossing to Antarctica.The route will negotiate some of the world's most extreme, brutal, and yet beautiful scenery. From snow-covered glacial landscapes to treacherous mountain climbs and vast desert dunes; this Pole to Pole expedition, driven in the Nissan Ariya will take followers through breath-taking and uncharted territory.
Reliable even in extreme situations: The Nissan Ariya has now passed an extensive endurance test with flying colors. The performance of the all-electric coupé crossover was examined over a period of three years using 5,000 parameters.The electric car completed a total distance equivalent to five times the circumference of the globe. In addition to different road surfaces, the Ariya also mastered rough routes and floods. In this way, the durability of the vehicle was put through its paces in various situations. Nissan made use of its more than ten years of experience in electromobility, the success story of which began with the LEAF. The tests, conducted both day and night, were accompanied by over 500 experts at the Nissan proving ground in Tochigi, Japan.
Nissan unveiled its prototype production facility for laminated all-solid-state battery cells, which the company aims to bring to market in 2028. This prototype facility, within the Nissan Research Center in Kanagawa Prefecture, is aimed to further promote the development of all-solid-state-batteries.Under its long-term vision, Nissan Ambition 2030, Nissan aims to launch an EV with all-solid-state batteries developed in-house by fiscal 2028. It plans to establish a pilot production line at its Yokohama Plant in fiscal 2024, with materials, design and manufacturing processes for prototype production on the line to be studied at the prototype production facility. All-solid-state batteries are expected to be a game-changing technology for accelerating the popularity of electric vehicles. They have an energy density approximately twice that of conventional lithium-ion batteries, significantly shorter charging time due to superior charge/discharge performance, and lower cost thanks to the opportunity of using less expensive materials. With these benefits, Nissan expects to use all-solid-state batteries in a wide range of vehicle segments, including pickup trucks, making its EVs more competitive.
"Nissan e.dams has completed the second day of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship official preseason test with Sebastien Buemi finishing the afternoon session third fastest in Valencia. Buemi recorded a time of 1 minute, 17.473 seconds in the final session of the day – only 0.131 of a second off the fastest time. Earlier the Swiss driver topped the times in the first session after lunch. His time aboard the No. 23 car was the fourth fastest time overall for the day. Buemi won the Formula E driver’s championship in season two and holds the series records for most wins, poles and fastest race laps. The e.dams team is a three-time team’s championship winner. The Nissan e.dams team has one more day of testing on Friday when the official series preseason test comes to a close. Nissan is joining Formula E as the first Japanese carmaker to participate in the innovative series and as the global leader in electric cars, with more than 365,000 Nissan LEAF vehicles sold."
