The fifth-generation Scenic E-Tech electric, due to go on sale shortly, is produced in Douai France, the site where it was born in 1996. Who better to talk about the evolution of this iconic model and the plant where it is made than Franck Lucas, Unit Manager, who is celebrating 41 years of service at the site this year. Franck has been involved in the production of every generation of Scenic since its inception and has witnessed the technological advances from one iteration to the next, as well as the improvements made to workstations and manufacturing methods within the plant. Artist, songwriter and author, electronica pioneer and technology aficionado, Jean-Michel Jarre is committed to working with Renault to develop the best possible in-car sound experience for the brand's new vehicles. One of his first projects was the development, along with Ircam and the group's sound design teams, of two types of sound for Renault's electric and hybrid models: the VSP (Vehicle Sound for Pedestrians), a low-speed exterior warning sound for pedestrians, and the Welcome sound sequence when entering the vehicle.The documentary "The story behind the sound design" goes behind the scenes of the work carried out and shows Jean-Michel Jarre's contribution as an artist as well as an engineer. It shines a spotlight on an amazing human adventure and explains the many issues involved in sound design, from the first thoughts to the reveal of these sounds on Scenic E-Tech electric at the 2023 IAA Munich Motor Show.

An individual vehicle setup that uses the expertise of the Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team guarantees even more agility and driving fun. The details of the setup cannot be communicated at the moment, but will follow in good time before the vehicle is delivered.
