Panamanian presidential candidate Jose Gabriel Carrizo, of the Democratic Revolutionary Party (Partido Revolucionario Democrático), votes in the country's presidential elections in the capital. Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda votes in the first round of the country's presidential election following a campaign dominated by defence issues as Vilnius seeks to strengthen its security in the face of neighbouring Russia. Panama's president-elect Jose Raul Mulino says he is "nobody's puppet," a reference to former president Ricardo Martinelli (2009-2014), whom he replaced as a candidate after being convicted of money laundering and taking refuge in the Nicaraguan embassy. "I'm not here because someone put me here," he says to cheers from the crowd during his victory speech at a Panama City hotel. SOUNDBITE
