Celebrities Speak Out About Family Separation Crisis

Description

Photos and videos of children being separated from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border have gone viral and many prominent celebrities are using their platform to speak out about the crisis. Reese Witherspoon took to Twitter to ask her followers to support the Keep Families Together Act. She called the family separations "cruel and immoral and deplorable.” Chrissy Teigen also took to Twitter to share a photo of a two-year-old girl separated from her mother and compared it to her own daughter, Luna. She said her daughter is terrified if she's separated from her for even "seconds." She said, "The fear she would feel here fills me with rage and sadness.” Other celebrities who have spoken out about the crisis include Jimmy Kimmel, Common, and Ellen DeGeneres.
